Unlike the "shock for
shock's sake" that characterizes too much in the
world of art today, De Musée effect is deliberate
and purposive. She seeks to reach out through these living
creations to that part of each of us that is most instinctive.
To those people who have felt
an emptiness, who have been conditioned to lead a "safe"
life-- to never commit, never risk and thus, never truly
live-- these artworks function both as a mirror and as
a primal arousal.
